ASB Report August 2019
September 5th, 2019
Sophomore Class President
Position Assessment
So far this year as Sophomore Class President, I have led the sophomore class during rallies, created and sold our class t-shirts, and have already started planning for homecoming. This year I have definitely stepped up my leading skills by delegating jobs and putting trust into the other sophomore officers. I have also helped the freshmen in leadership which makes me happy because I know that I was in their same position a year ago so it feels good that I am giving them the help I needed last year.
Standing Committee
I am not a part of a standing committee, but I have helped the Pride Tribe standing committee by helping them sell and get rid of the t-shirts at the JV football game. I am also hoping to be a part of the coronation committee during homecoming this year.
Special Committee
The special committees I am a part of are the black light rally committee, the balloon arch committee, and the coin wars committee. We just had the black light rally last week and it was a success. I helped the committee by taking the piano to and from the gym, I cut tape for the phones, and I volunteered to work the spotlights at the rally. As for the balloon arch committee, we have not made a balloon arch yet but we taught younger students at Ripon El how to make their own balloon arch. We did this after pow wow during the summer, and their balloon arch in front of their school looked really good. There hasn't been anything done for coin wars yet because that event is around February and March.
Concerns
I don't have any crucial concerns right now, I am only concerned for the amount of time, stress, and tears that we are about to put into homecoming this year.
Positive Comment
A positive comment I have is for Makenzie Loechler. She is literally so outgoing and not afraid of anything. I have also really seen her step up already this early into the year. I feel that she has taken on the role of the leader of the freshman representatives and I think that she will do really great this year, and I hope all the freshmen reps are able to be good assets to the team in different ways.
Change
The only thing that I would change would to have everyone sit with different grades because even when Morty says to switch it up, I feel like most people just move one seat over and they aren't trying to get to know everyone in the class.
My Impact
I feel that I have had a good impact on our school campus because I've been trying to make better connections with people and talking to more people that I usually wouldn't talk to. I have also been more positive this year and I am much more accustomed to high school now and I know what's going on so this year has been a lot easier already.

ASB Report September & October 2019
October 24, 2019
Sophomore Class President
Position Assessment
Thus far as sophomore class president, the other sophomore officers and I led our class through homecoming. This was a very stressful time for me because as president everyone was asking so much of me, to be her, to be there, to do this and that, it was just a hard time for everyone. But I feel that the other officers and I did an amazing job of involving our class. This year I really wanted our class to be spirited and more united, and I definitely feel that our class is so much closer now. I was telling kids all week during homecoming to dress up, and I was telling kids that I usually don't talk to and when I did see them dress up it made me feel really good. Homecoming took up most of my life for about three weeks in September and October because I choreographed our 1st place lip sync and I was so determined to get 1st place in our float too. But the beginning of October went a little down hill because I was so exhausted from homecoming, dance, and all of my school work that I didn't sell all of my tri-tip tickets. I sold twelve out of fifteen, but being tired and busy isn't an excuse for not selling all of my tickets, everything just hit me at once and selling the tickets was not one of my priorities. But I realize this now and I want to be better about it. We have also started planning for winter formal and I'm really excited for that. We have already had two meetings with Cutino about all of the details. We just need to get a concrete theme and go with it to start planning our decorations.
Standing Committee
The only standing committee that I am a part of is the winter sports senior night committee, and we haven't done anything for that because the winter sports season hasn't started yet.
Special Committee
The special committees I am in are the balloon arch and coin wars committee. There hasn't been anything to do for either of these committees yet. I was not in the Kyoto committee, but I did host Kyoto kids this year and it was my third year of hosting. I had a lot of fun with them and I love the girls that I got.
Concerns
I don't really have any concerns right now.
Positive Comment
My positive comment is for Avery. She is always on top of everything and she thinks about details of every aspect of any event. She is probably one of the hardest workers in this class. I know I say it in praises and stuff that she is such a hard worker but it should be known that she is always, and I mean ALWAYS on top of everything. #averyisthebest
Change
The only thing I would change would be Brene Brown. I think that everything in the book and the worksheets have value, but I just don't if they exactly relate or can impact freshmen, sophomores, and even some juniors. I feel that we just spend a lot of time having discussions where everyone has to share, but I'm not sure if anyone really absorbs and applies the concepts. It's just hard for us sophomores and freshmen to apply this stuff to our life when we haven't really experienced a lot of life. The stuff we experience is just very small scale compared to what Brene wants us to think about. I'm trying to understand it, but I think it would be of more value when I am older.
Impact
I feel that I've had a good impact with my class and even other classes throughout these stressful weeks. I definitely built a connection with other students that I probably wouldn't have made a connection with because I was trying to get anyone and everyone in our class to dress up. I think a lot of people that usually don't dress up had fun, so I hope that has made a positive impact on how they view and support leadership events in the future.

ASB Report November and December
December 16, 2019
Sophomore Class President
Position Assessment
During the months of November and December as sophomore class president, I have planned winter formal, did door decorating for the P building, contributed to the CASL report, and we had our class Christmas tree for the holiday night rally. Winter Formal was very successful and were very proud of all the hard work we put into it. We made about $5,200 in profit on the dance. That was our biggest event and fundraiser of the year so we are very appreciative of everyone who came and supported it. The leader of my group for the door decorating was Gabby. Our doors looked good when we first put them up but then they fell down almost right away so that was sad. I did the CASL report and I started the whole section we were supposed to do and I wrote around a paragraph and a half for that. Then we had the Christmas tree, which was alright. Our tree was kind of a last minute thing because we were so busy with formal.
Standing Committee
I’m not in any standing committees.
Special Committee
The special committees I am a part of are the black light rally committee, the balloon arch committee, and the coin wars committee. For the balloon arch committee we made a really good balloon arch for the yearbook senior rally. We ran out of white balloons so the arch was a little uneven but it still looked really good. The other sophomore officers and I should start thinking about coin wars and what charity and competition we want to do for it. Also we just started the Valentine hearts and my partner is Avery for that and we have started cuttng the hearts out.
Concerns
I don’t have any concerns right now.
Positive Comment
My positive comment is for Emma. She always tries so hard in everything she does and I dont think she gets enough recognition for that. Emma does so much at school and outside of school, and she still manages to balance everything.
Change
The only thing that I would like to change (but I know won’t) is Brene. I read it every week, but I don’t think that anyone tries to apply the stuff she’s talking about to our own lives. I don’t think we have experienced enough in life to really relate to what she wants us to.
My Impact
I feel that I’ve had a good impact so far because I encouraged people I didn’t know to go to events such as winter formal and the holiday night rally. This was good because this could’ve given them a fun experience that they will want to do again and then they will continue to support events that we put on for them.

ASB Report January and February
February 13, 2020
Sophomore Class President
Sophomore Class President
Position Assessment
As sophomore class president in the month of January our class’s main focus was Winterfest since it was at the very beginning of the month. It was stressful coming back from winter break and then going straight into winterfest, but we got everything done and we were pretty proud of ourselves. We started working on coin wars in January, too. We decided that we are going to do it for Make a Wish again this year. We have the dates and we want to do a rally, but just planning the rally in a few short weeks is stressful but we will see where that goes.
Standing Committee
The standing committee I am a part of is the winter sports senior nights. I’m not exactly sure what is going on with the senior nights because I see them happening, but I never hear anything about them.
Special Committee
The special committees I am in are coin wars, balloon arch, and valentine hearts. Coin wars are going pretty good. We have the dates all figured out and we are going to order the extra jars soon. At the beginning of January we made a pink and white arch for the girls basketball pink out game. Avery and I finished our hearts and I was very proud of mine.
Concerns
The only concerns I have right now are the dynamics of how the class is gong to change after elections and after we see who is getting accepted back into the program and who isn’t. I think everything will work out in the end but I am excited for the new school year.
Positive Comment
My positive comment is for Jaydin. She is always smiling, happy, and confident. I admire that she always participates in discussions. Jaydin is also so thoughtful and considerate of others. She is always asking where others need help and I admire that about her.
Change
The only thing that I would change is to have a classroom, but we can’t really do anything about that. But I just feel like leadership would be more fun and feel more like a class if we had an actual classroom.
My Impact
I feel that my impact in the past few months has been a positive one. I tried my hardest during winterfest to try and win winterfest queen and in doing that I encouraged more people to participate. Even when I’m going through hard times and don’t know what to do with myself, I still try to help others and make sure that they are OK too.
